I bought the espresso maker to replace my old Krups. The coffee made with the DeLonghi is much better. This is a perfect espresso and cappuccino, with a lot of foam and everything.
DeLonghi + Italian coffee (Lavazza) = Excellent real coffee.

I purchased this Espresso maker after reading all the positive and negative reviews. I was very skeptical, but pleasantly surprised. The instructions require you to wait 15-30 mins. to warm the machine up, but I have used it in less time. The steaming wand is a little short, but certainly workable. The tamper is sturdy, but you will have to hold the machine down to get the supposed 50lbs of force that is to be used when tamping espresso grounds. It is true, you cannot put a full size cup to brew in, but the it may be possible if you remove the catch tray underneath. I would recommend using shot glasses to capture the espresso. The warmer does not do a good enough job within 15-30 mins. If I leave it on much longer, it may help, but I wouldn’t count on it. I brew 2-6 shots a day and have been using it every day for the last month. So far, so good. I sure hope it lasts.
